Which communities engage your attention through play or work? What makes for vibrant relationships between a church and the communities with which it is engaged?
Those are some of the questions to be explored in April’s Appreciative Space which offers an opportunity to explore the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results/Resources) that was freshly created for the ChurchWorks Summit in February by Warren Bohan and Fiona Thomas. It has been designed to help churches ask good questions about how they relate to the communities around them. During the session participants will get a chance to try out the SOAR and comment on how it could be used in their context.
Held monthly at various times and days of the week, Appreciative Space encourages appreciative inquiry practitioners to share stories of their work with churches and other organisations as part of a self-sustaining community of practice.
The zoom link for each session is available through the members area of the Appreciating Church website. New members are welcome to register for an annual fee of £30: https://appreciating.church/register/
Email enquiries@appreciating.church if you would like to try a session before committing to membership.
Subscribing to the Appreciating Church newsletter is the easiest way to keep up to date with new events and future training dates.
