This session on Wednesday 9th October 11.00-12.00 (BST) will discuss an approach to journaling which combines appreciative inquiry and an interest in gardening, facilitated by Fiona Thomas, Developmentalist for Appreciating Church.
From the Garden of Eden to the Tree of Life in Revelation, scripture is full of allusions to gardening and cultivation. Fig trees, brambles, and grapevines flourish through prophecy and parables. Fiona has long harboured an intention to develop journaling which combines appreciative inquiry and gardening. This month’s Appreciative Space will offer an opportunity to do a little digging into what this might look like. Bring your metaphorical trowel and gardening fork and let us discover what might grow.
Appreciative Space invites appreciative inquiry practitioners to share stories of their work, as part of a self-sustaining community of practice. The dedicated zoom link for each month is available through the members area of the Appreciating Church website. New members are welcome to register for an annual fee of £30.
Request guest entry for this month if you would like to try out the space before committing to annual membership.
